Ms. Garcia has more than 20 years experience working in a Medical Laboratory, primarily as a blood banker. She has her generalist Medical Laboratory Science certificate and a Specialist in Blood Banking certificate.

She has developed blood bank education curricula and has taught an introduction to blood banking for 15 years. Her students have had a nearly 100% pass rate when challenging the generalist MLS exam through ASCP (for the blood bank section), and for the Blood Bank certification exam. She has participated in the preparation and participation for various accreditation inspections, including AABB, CAP, CLIA, FDA, FACT and The Joint Commission. She has accomplished full staffing for the labs she has managed through creative staffing solutions which she seeks to provide to other struggling laboratories.

She wants to see the Medical Laboratory Profession thrive, along with providing students interested in the profession to obtain affordable access to the education and training needed to enter the profession.
